‘Breath’ to compete at Women Make Waves fest

Iranian movie ‘Breath’ (Nafas) is to compete at the Women Make Waves Film Festival in Taiwan.

Iranian movie ‘Breath’ (Nafas) has been selected to compete at the "Women Make Waves" Film Festival in Taiwan.

Director Narges Abyar’s ‘Breath’ will vie in the competition section of the 24th Women Make Waves international film festival in Taiwan next month.

‘Breath’ tells the story of four siblings who live with numerous colorful dreams of their childhood along with their father and granny, but their mother died a few years ago. The film is set in the late 1970s in Valadabad, a poor suburb of Karaj.

Iranian actors and actresses Gelare Abbasi, Mehran Ahmadi, Jamshid Hashempour, and Shabnam Moqaddami star in the 118-minute ‘Breath’.

The 24th edition of the Taiwan International Women Make Waves Film Festival will be held in Taiwan from October 13-22.
